Sisters

My sister Christy and her daughter Abigail stayed in town last week. She moved to Austin, TX 2 years ago. I was lucky enough to help her move and road trip it to Texas. Just the memories of that trip make me smile and begin to tear up... from laughter.

I had a great week. We actually got a babysitter for 2 outings. Out of tradition we lunched at Olive Garden and got pedicures. Spence was a big sport letting us go to a movie and watched our kids PLUS her 4 month old daughter Abby. There is nothing better than sitting in the afternoon shade of my enormous Elm tree, pushing our babies in the tree swings. Just us girls. Life is sweet.

After 2 long years of her being gone, I still have not replaced her with a new friend. I have my "big sister" here in Utah now, but her role in my life is a different kind of friendship. Family is a miraculous thing. How wonderful is it that I have been given 3 best friends (sisters) to be with my entire life. I cannot describe how this makes me feel, to know that each sister fills a different need in my life. For every problem or story to tell, there is an appropriate sister to call.

Thanks Christy for coming in town and gracing us with your presence! We will miss noisy Abby invading Maddux's private space. Hope your luggage has been found.

I'm so glad you feel that specialness towards each unique sister. What a blessing to have those relationships. THanks, Julie, for being such a wonderful daughter.
