Cooper

Cooper lost his first tooth on Sunday! What appears to be a tooth in the middle of the open space is his second loose tooth, only hanging on by a thread, sideways. Cooper left his tooth in a glass cup on his dresser, and the tooth fairy brought 2 one dollar bills and 1 two dollar bill. Our tooth fairy had some help from the Centerville Grandpa tooth fairy. Cooper is so cool about everything. Nothing is very exciting. So he handled this like everything else. No big deal.

Cooper is a video gamin' fool. Call it bad parenting, but since Thanksgiving he has gone through Mario Galaxy, Legos Batman, and is now on to Disney's Bolt. But he is getting bored, and has started asking for his friends to come play again. Christmas break sure wore him out with all the Wii playing. One of my New Years resolutions is to do more homework with him. He just learned how to count to 20 by twos. You wouldn't think that would be hard, but it is. We are now on to addition and subtracting numbers 6 and under. Wish me and my patience luck.

Cooper is so much fun. He is asking all sorts of questions, like normal. One week in to Winter break and I was ready to have him back at school, he hovered and talked more than I was used to. He is constantly stumping me with questions like, "Where does the tooth fairy live and what happens if she gets wet? Can she fly with only coins or dollars?" Coopers cousin Jake told Cooper his tooth fairy puts money under his pillow, so I responded with, "Cooper has a bunk bed and she doesn't fit up there with him." I am so glad he did not ask "How big is the tooth fairy?"

Cooper and Savy's new thing is to mimic each other. Just to annoy the other Savy will start saying everything Cooper says.
Cooper: Stop it
Savy: Stop it
Cooper: I am going to hit you!
Savy: I am going to hit you!

We are just a barrel of monkeys here at the Winegar house. Call us crazy...

Congrats on the lost tooth Cooper! Helping him with homework is probably the one of the most important things we can do as a parent. If you think about public school, there is about 6 hours of instruction for 20 students which equates to 18 min. per student of teacher's instruction. So if you spend just 30 min. with your child at night, you're giving them more 1 on 1 time than the entire school day. We've definitely noticed a difference with Ashley, reading with her at home and the teachers have even commented about how crucial parent involvement it. Anyway, good job and stick with it!

Ahh. Hilarious about the copy cat. I loved doing that as a kid...and maybe as an adult...sorry dan.

Congrats on the tooth cooper. More importantly...congrats on the video games. Impressive stats young man. Way to go!

I can't believe he is losing teeth already - we still haven't entered that phase of life with our girls ... we're a little slow.

Love these posts of your kids and I am very likely to want to kiss your baby's face off.

Tell Coop that he looks super cool! Belle is dying to loose a tooth. I don't think she has one even close yet.
Happy belated b-day. Aaron has been meaning to call you pretty much all week. He did give you a call tonight. We did think about you, just slow on the phone call.

Emma's two bottom teeth are also loose. My sister told her that it was because she was kissing boys. On Monday when we were getting ready to go back to school she says to me, "Mom, I'm going to go right in and kiss Logan!" I said, "No. Why would you do that?" She tells me it's because she wants these teeth to fall out "right now". So I had to tell her the kissing thing is just a joke, and don't kiss boys until you're old! Anyway, Cooper looks so cool missing teeth. CHEERS to another milestone of motherhood!
