A Christmas Day from my childhood

Christmas Day was everything wonderful and all I could have asked for. It was sunny and warm and gorgeous.

We woke up by 7 to wait our turn on the stairs. Grandma and Spence held down the fort while Grandpa and I hurried about.

Santa left Scooters for the big kids, Coop a DS game, Savy _______, a train track and super heroes for Maddux, Maggie an outfit, and Captain America's battle Tank for Spence.

Our Stockings were overflowing with fun.

Our Presents were opened as quickly as Maddux could get us to. He really just wanted to be ripping paper off of boxes all day long.

By 7:30 we were outside riding bikes and scooters. It felt like a warm Santa Ana was blowing in. The warm wind and the sun took me back to my childhood. I remember taking my new Bike, Roller Blades and dollies out Christmas Morning to immediately enjoy. It was bliss for me.

We attended Stacy's ward Sacrament to hear her sing. We made a great dinner and swam in the spa.
All the kids were happy with their presents. Grandma and Grandpa gave us a Trampoline! Cooper had asked Santa for a new Nintendo DS 3d.  Santa did not bring it. Cooper searched through his stocking and the room but nope. It did not come. It took him about 20 minutes to find fun with his scooter. When we got back to Utah, his best friend Tanner had gotten one! Cooper was so disappointed. Darn that Santa!
By the end of the day we were more than ready for bed. I am grateful for a husband who loves the tradition of spending time with my family just as much and me.
