Our First Christmas Letter!

The Brags and Blessings of 2011 from the Winegar Family

Maggie (1 1/3) Brag- She is the perfect baby sister from her pudgy little hands to her curly hair. She loves to stand on a step stool at the book case and unload books. Blessing- 3 big siblings and Dad and Mom to take her on walks or read books.

Maddux (3) Brag- He started preschool, can work a puzzle faster than you would believe and could chase our cat Sasha around the house all day long if she wouldn’t hiss at him so much. Blessing- After 6 months of speech therapy he is finally beginning to talk! He has the sweetest little voice.

Savannah (6 ½) Brag- She gets 100% on all her spelling tests, still loves animals and graduated to the top bunk of the bunk bed! Cooper handed down his old Nintendo DS and some Pokémon cards, she loves entering his world. Blessing- Her vision improved so much that she stopped learning Braille and began to learn to read!

Cooper (8 ½) Brag- He bought a Nintendo DSi XL all on his own with money from his paper route, earned his Wolf and Bear in Cub Scouts, and went to Frightmares at Lagoon with Dad and a friend! Blessing- Was baptized by Spencer a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He also made 2 best friends in the neighborhood, now weekends are the best!


Julie Brag- Currently juggling serving in the RS Presidency (Women’s organization at church), got her first job in 9 years at Clipper Publishing, trained and ran in a 6 then 10 and now 15k race, and mentored Heidi, a young single adult in the neighborhood and sent her on a Mission. (We miss her!) Blessing- For such a crazy packed year I do not know how we kept it all together and are still going. Actually I do. My husband is my greatest blessing.


Spencer Brag- After serving over 4 years with the 12-13 yr old Boy Scouts he changed to the 14-15 yr olds. This means no more week long Scout Camp and hello High Adventure and Youth Conference! Julie finally gave in and let him join the rest of the world with a smart phone, going with an iPhone 4s. Blessing- It may seem small but in this economy no slight accomplishment: Has worked for the same company over 12 years, still owns his home, 2 cars and has the best marriage and kids. What more could an almost 40 year old want?!
