This is the last week of school, so Cooper has been busy with class activities. Savannah and him have learned to bug each other and fight quite well. I am really bummed that I will have to entertain them all summer just so we can keep the peace around here!
Cooper and Savannah have both crashed this week. Savannah was pushed off a toy on to a driveway, and her face looks like road kill. Cooper crashed his scooter and skinned his hand and arm. Another fun activity was Savannah's 4 year old check up. She weighs 29 lbs (under 5%, not on the chart) and is 39 1/2 inches tall (50%). The dr gave us the choice to get her kindergarten shots now, or wait until next year. I decided to get them now so as to not have the experience seared into her memory at an older age. Cooper still talks about his 4 shots and how he ran away and hid from the nurse. It was not fun.
I also took 3 days off last weekend to let the house go and the kids run a muck to read my most beloved book, Scarlett, the sequel to Margaret Mitchell's Gone with the Wind. I wanted to name Savy Scarlett, and then Rhett was a runner to be Maddux's name. It was nice to escape into a book. Funny how when the book is finished, your life is still in chaos and your worries and problems are still there. It was a nice mini vacation while it lasted.
Events to look forward to this week: Humanitarian Enrichment Class put on by me, Kindergarten Graduation, Last day of school Luau, waiting for the helmet.... the list goes on.

Ouch! And I can't believe she only weighs 29 lbs!!! Ashley just weighed herself and she's 55! Love it while you can...picking Ashley up now is almost impossible! Good luck with the helmet, I'm sure it will be fine, one of my other friends had a similar thing for her son I think, it wasn't bad at all :)
Oh Julie, way to escape into a book! I love doing that. graduation and luaus, awesome time of year! Don't worry about the helmet. My nephew wesley (shellys son) wore one for about 4 months and it was no biggie. It actually came in handy when he started crawling/walking. Plus you can decorate it and stuff. Super cute. It doesn't bother them one bit. Hang in there and can't wait to see you when you visit this summer.
Rocky weighs 30 lbs and is tall too! They are right in there together. I agree with Liss... the low weight definitely comes in handy when I end up carrying both kids around on sick days. I think the helmet is a good idea! I wish I had one for Jack. Now that he is walking, he is always throwing his head into hard objects. There is always a bruise somewhere! Plus, 3 months will go by so fast.
She's taller than Jesse, I noticed, hmmm - I wonder what he weighs ... we still need to get him in for his dr. visit! And now I officially have to read those books, I have always wanted to read "Gone with the Wind" - thanks for the recommend!
