Feeling Lucky

This October has been a good one.

To start off the month, the windshield of the Durango was cracked by a passing truck's spray of rocks. I called the company, and they replaced the windshield for free! The best part is that it was already cracked, and I needed to replace it but had been putting it off. Coincidence or a blessing?

Saturday I went to Old Navy to return unused clothes I had bought for family pictures. I asked about their price adjustment policy. The cashier scanned my old receipts, and I got $33 back on clothes we did keep! It cut my bill drastically. It felt good. And it was unexpected. I will have a high off of this one for a few more days. It pays to know a company's policies.

A friend told me about a food co-op where you buy discounted produce, bread and meat. Saturday morning I went for the first time. The food is fresh and yummy and cheap! For more info on Utah co-op's check this site and this one. The vegetables I do not eat, I gave to a friend and she was overly grateful. It is nice to get a good deal and share with others.

The more I live a Christ centered life, the more I recognize his hand in my daily activities. It feels great to know that God is hearing my prayers and knows the desires of my heart. I love the daily tender mercies He sends my way, and I love seeing them. My life tends to have big trials and then times of peace. I am in one of those happy worry free times, and I am enjoying every moment of it. It will pass all too soon.
