We were great hikers with the fast excited ones ahead and the slow but steady following on the .7 mile loop.
Cooper has taken his hiking stick on every camping trip this year.

Maggie actually liked her carrier as long as she was moving. She took a nap on almost every hike.
Spence carried both Maddux and Maggie at times. These two love being outside. They loved hiking.
The cousins climbed every arch as high as they could. My heart jumped a few times watching them! Cooper is in yellow. Can you find him? The arches were massive once you were under them.
Lunch was a picnic. Maggie was crawling in the bushes and freaking us out by a cactus. This was a bit more stressful than fun.

The last hike of the day for us was Sand Dune Arch. You pass through a narrow passage of sandstone to enter a sea of red sand. There were people everywhere burying their feet and bodies. Cooper and Jake dug in the sand til they reached damp sand strong enough to create an arch of their own. I hate sand! This was so hard for me to let Maggie take off her shoes and get yucky. Maddux loved running up and down the sandy hill.
We were so dirty and yucky our family headed back to camp with Grandma to pack up and go find some showers. This made a world of a difference to me, and my babies stinky bums!
