Moab

UEA weekend we vacationed to Moab with Spence's Utah siblings and parents. We arrived at our campground at Slickrock to set up camp before dark. Maddux and Maggie both needed naps so we took a drive to walk the bridge over the Colorado river.

It was late evening and beautiful. Cooper and Savy ran over the expansive bridge while Spence stayed with the sleeping babies in the car.

Savannah throwing rocks

Coop and Sav could not carry enough rocks to throw in the river. They loved being so high.  I have many memories from my childhood playing by rivers or crossing bridges. I had to make sure my kids experienced this one. Their childhood excitement did not disappoint me.

For dinner we walked Main Street to find a restaurant. We finally settled on Smittys. The food was really good, until Maddux choked and puked. Oh, it was one of those parent moments that you just want to get up and leave. So we did.

That night we made Smores and told spooky stories around the camp fire. Grandpa Bert told plenty of stories that went nowhere, but the kids were loving them all.
