At 6 months Maddux is sure looking chubby! I would compare him to a marshmallow, soft, smooshy and sweet. Weighing in at 14 lbs 4 oz, my baby is a light weight in the 7th percentile! Looks are sure deceiving. He is only 25 1/2 inches long, putting him in the 25th percentile. He still fits in 3-6 month clothes and size 3 diapers. I am baffled, because Cooper was a real chub weighing in at 18 1/2 lbs at this age. My back, shoulders and neck thank you Maddux!
Maddux is becoming a real social baby. He is too content watching the happenings around the house. He is starting to sit for short amounts of time unassisted but still does not roll over. Why would he need to when everything he needs is in eye sight? Maddux has begun reaching for toys to chew and examine. The kids still love him to pieces and are always giggling at his drool, motorboat spitting, and squeaks. Maddux loves to listen to Cooper read his school books every night. It is amazing how the sound of Cooper and Savannah's voices effect Maddux. I love it.
Maddux still loves music and falls asleep to his birdie mobile and music. We found out this weekend that he does not like the car. He cried 90% of the drive home from Logan. Whew! Maybe will will fly to SD this summer.
The concern over Maddux's fontanel fusing too soon has eased. His head is still growing so there is no immediate concern. But, he does have a head tilt to the left called torticollis. His shoulder muscles are too tight, so we now get to start baby physical therapy to stretch and straighten. Fun fun for me! One more activity to find a babysitter for the other 2 kids.
If you look at the picture above, his head is tilted to his left. No, he is not posing for the picture, it is his natural head position. The doctor called it "fixing a little whiplash" from birth.
Happy six months Maddux. You are your Mommy's best little boy.

He is so darling, I had a good look at him after church and wanted to squish his pudgy cheeks!!! Good luck w/ the therapy ... crazy. We are happy to help!
That is such a CUTE pic.
All of your kids are so cute and I love that last picture. Are you coming to SD this summer for sure? You have to let me know the dates and we must get together!
He is so cute. I love his chubby cheeks and hair.
Where are you going for the physical therapy?
Cam's dr was worried about a flat spot on his head when he was younger so we went to the Bountiful extension of PCMC. We saw Lisa Morley, she was great! If you can go there with your insurance, it is nice because it is so close. Good luck.
By the way, Cam was so mild, they didn't even treat him.
He's such a cutie. Hopefully I'll be able to hold him sometime before he thinks it odd for a strange lady to hold him. Are you going to CA for Christmas next year?
Julie he is absolutely precious! I see so much of you in him too. What a little stud. Can't wait to squeeze those cheeks in person.
Hooray for Maddux!! I was wondering how his little head was doing.
Ya know, I had Gavin adjusted by my chiropractor after he was born. Birth is such a tramatic experience for your babies body, ya know!? It probably wouldn't hurt to go get him adjusted by your chiro doc. Good luck with the therapy!
Wow! 6 whole months. That's awesome. He looks soooooo cute. Love that cute pic of the 3 of you. Love reading your blog even if I don't comment often. It'll be fun to see Maddux and Finn playing together. Poor little guy...labor is pretty intense, everyone needs a little massage and adjustment after that. I am sure he'll love it and have great posture after he's done. Let us know how we can help. :)
