Hyrum Reservoir

Last weekend we went camping with my parents, my brother Aaron's family, and his in-law's Steve and Sharon. Wendy and her family stopped by for lunch on Friday. Our main goal: camp with the kids, jet ski, swim at the beach, and start making memories for the grand kids.

You know how you have memories with your extended family members and every family gets labeled. There are your cousins with the boating parents, the ones who like camping, the family who lives in another state, the cousins with the cool house.... I had a good laugh with my siblings, trying to choose a label we would like to be remembered by the nieces and nephews.

It stormed on us Friday night through Saturday morning. By Saturday afternoon it was sunny, warm and perfect lake conditions for wake boarding. Aaron and I reminisced on our teenage years towing each other at Mission Bay. We really have families now and are getting ready to teach our kids how to ski and wake board! I am excited for the future.

Cooper and Belle loved the inner tube.

Savannah and Reeve hugging (or is that a tackle?), Cooper using the binoculars to watch the jet ski.

There were stairs leading down to the lake from our campsites. The railing had yellowjacket nests in them. Thursday Reeve was stung 4 times on the leg and Friday Aaron was stung once on the hand. Saturday Cooper was swarmed and stung 4 times: cheek, chin, neck and arm!

Sounds like everyone has too much fun without me! How are we going to be remember by all the cousins?

Good times had by all! I almost had mine ready to post today, and I was interrupted too many times. Hopefully later.

So bummed we missed this trip. Maybe next year if you make this a tradition. Glad you all had so much fun!
