Growing Families

I love that my high school friends make time to see my family while we are here. Look at Maggie, Lainey and Joselyn. Maggie is 2 months older than these two. Jaime, Dan, Choob and Tano came to swim and barbecue. Melissa, Jeff and Ashley were free last minute to swim also! It was our first family night in years. Usually us girls sneak away to consume chocolate or Olive Garden.

It makes me happy to see that I made good friendships as a teenager that have lasted the years. We keep up with each other through our blogs. There is something endearing to watch the friend you bunked with at girls camp raise a family. I love all my girl friends and are grateful for the new ones I have made in Utah.

We were able to spend Tuesday night swimming at Teri and Norm's. Their three boys are happy and fun. We all drop in to the same easy friendship that visiting once a year gives. Spence and I have a good life, happy with our children and each other. Seeing our friends happy yet struggling through life like us helps me feel so not alone in this mommy world. All of us have something unsettling in our life. All of us are pushing forward to give our family what they need. We are all the same.

Awe how fun! I wish I were there and had my babe in that mix too. I'm so glad we all keep in touch with each other even if we only get to see each other in person once a year. It's great to see your family doing so well.
