Our Journey

Here are some highlights from our day.

We were so lucky to be sequestered at the SLC Airport Security check. Maddux's helmet looked quite threatening and needed to be tested for who know what. Good thing we were early.

At the end of our 1.5 hour flight, Maddux was sitting between Cooper and I playing with a toy. A Flight Attendant walked past, glanced at Maddux and told me, "Just make sure you hold on to him when we land."
Do I look dense? Maybe irresponsible? Yes, I will hold on to my baby when we land so as to not let him fall. Thanks.

JetBlue is so much better than Delta, Bigger seats, more leg room, they give you the whole can of soda. And they have a TV for every seat, and it has over 20 channels! With Cartoon network and Nickelodeon, why did I pack so many toys for the kids?

As we are walking to baggage check Savannah repeatedly asked me where is San Diegos? Finally when she heard me reply for the millionth time that we are here she asked, "But where is the house?"
Sorry but the airplane cannot land at Grandma's house. We still need to drive there. I had one discourage little girl.

This trip has been all about visiting cousin Gavin. Forget Grandma and Grandpa, she was coming to Gavin's house. Well, He came and played with us at Grandma's house this afternoon, and then he went home. Later, Savannah asked why Gavin has a new house. I had completely forgot the last time we visited Gavin WAS living at Grandma's house. What was confusion to me, made perfect sense to Savy. She was going to Gavin's house, she just didn't know he had moved. Kids are great entertainment.

Cooper really is growing up. He still grumbles and complains, but he is beginning to understand responsibility. He pushed the stroller through the airports, took Savannah to the bathroom, and entertained himself on the plane. (Although he is a bit of a loud talker with earphones on) It has made me excited to have older kids, to be able to do big family outings with less work and more fun. I can't wait!

That is quite the daunting task to take on. It's good that you can just relax now and spend time with your family. Have a good trip!
